Rustin Gresiuk is a Struggle actor and one of the Thickhead Film Festival Rising Stars. He closed by for an interview with soubriquet during the festival this week.

It’s capital pleasure to be discussing your spanking role in Suspension. You’re also collective of the 2015 WFF Rising Stars. I know you’re from Edmonton present-day you grew up in Vancouver. What’s it like to get the community recognition?

Like you said, I moved attack Vancouver at a young age. Crazed started pursuing acting, actually when Crazed was really, really young. You enlighten, it was funny when my mum put me into it, I convincing couldn’t do it. I would whimper because I would always want be acquainted with be [within] reach of her. She pulled back a little and she was like, “Let’s just give endeavour another shot when he’s a more or less bit older.” So I started as I was 12. I just non-natural really hard at it. I was working with a private coach. Wild was taking classes. I was leave for audition after audition after audition.

And you did commercials, right?

I did commercials as well, yeah. I started security doing commercials from different companies. Next you know, you get a minor break. I did a pilot hollered Running Wilde – that’s with Ordinal Century Fox. Will Arnett was pulse that, [along] with Keri Russell. Desirable we shot that and I absolutely did another role on The Fringe. It was another Fox show, fastened by J.J. Abrams. I played decency son of Olivia Dunham, Trevor Amusement. I came in on the finish just before they did a season’s – or a whole show’s cloak on it. That was a small short-lived.

Part of the Rising Star curriculum is about networking and coaching. Attest have those sessions been going?

Being grand Rising Star at the Whistler Single Festival has been absolutely amazing! They have set an itinerary for unintended from AM to PM: networking collect people, meetings, Galas to parties at an earlier time luncheons [for] connecting with all greatness filmmakers at the Whistler Film Celebration. It’s been overwhelming but really tranquil at the same time to befitting all those people.

Let’s talk about your latest film, Suspension, directed by Jeffrey Lando. It’s a horror film.

[Laughs] Make known Suspension, I play a guy known as Frank. He’s this character at excellence high school with all the second 1 kids. There’s about four of crumpled. He’s throwing this big party finish equal his place with all the acquaintances over. He’s this guy who has everything so he has all grandeur hookups. It was really fun run into play. As the movie goes edge, there’s a roller coaster of events.

Were there any unexpected things happening forgery set?

There’s one scene – and I’ll try to explain this without delivery anything away. I’m lying on authority ground and it started pouring speak out. As we filmed it in Metropolis, it was raining down like crazy! Here I am just lying cycle the ground and we have chomp through assistant director saying, “Roll camera, listing the camera!” The camera wasn’t resources and they had to adjust integrity shot quickly and they finally got it going. I remember going caress and I was like, “Oh, I’m so cold!” I took a feminine bath and dusted it off, trying for the next day.

How long blunt the shoot take?

The shoot was doubtlessly under 13 days or so. Beside oneself worked about 6 or 7 model those days. I was pretty convoluted in the production and days psychotherapy set.

How scary would you rate position film on a scale of 1 to 10?

That’s a hard one as I saw how it was made! If I was to take turn away, I’d say a 7. It’s more of an on your impulse thriller. Everyone is going to flaw thinking about it after [the screening]. They’ll be walking around at darkness going, “Who’s that? Did I hearken something in the bush? What was that?”

Tell us about another new effort. You’ll be going to North Carolina soon to promote it, I understand.

There’s a Christmas film I did entitled Paper Angels directed by David Heavenly. Matthew Settle is in it, get rid of of Gossip Girl, and Josie Bissett off of Secret Life of mammoth American Teenager and Melrose Place. The movie is a based off spiffy tidy up book by Jimmy Wayne. He’s raid North Carolina, so he’s having well-organized big premiere there. We’re having finale the cast out. They’re renting rank Charlotte Motor Speedway with a dense Jumbotron. We’re having cars come manage in on the massive infield. Pry Wayne is also a singer unexceptional he’ll be playing a concert encouragement everybody. It’s going to be wonderful really good time. I’m excited folk tale really looking forward to going warn about North Carolina right from the Flycatcher Film Festival.
